WatersEdge History

Brief History of Water'sEdge Resort by Gail Garrity Realtors, inc

In 1946 Water'sEdge was a hotel called the Bill Hahn's after Bill Hahn founded it. Bill loved people and many flocked to the resort for the delicious meals, music, and fun.

Bill owned and operated the resort for over 3 decades as a casual resort with family fun. You could unwind in this beautiful waterfront resort away from all the hassles of life.

Many celebrities performed in the Dining Room, which was a stage. It was the "off-Broadway" of the Ct shoreline!

Bill passed away in 1979 and the Inn stayed in business, with his sister taking over the Inn. In 1983 Bill's sister sold the resort which was at the time run down and in need of repair.

Water'sEdge was developed to include deeded timeshare vacation weeks as part of the vacation resort where buyers could purchase a week there and also use the amenities.

The newer addition of the hotel was opened in April 1999 and serves as hotel rooms, meeting, rooms, and ballrooms.

It remains a place to enjoy and owners love their timeshares and their deeded weeks and all the amenities with owning a timeshare and it is still the ultimate place to unwind and enjoy life year round!
